Our Pledge

The Archive Project is an official donor of Remake foundation, a global advocacy organization fighting for fair pay and climate justice within the clothing industry. We pledge to donate 10% of our profits to Remake as part of our mission to better the fashion industry.

While overproduction takes a devastating toll on the environment, it comes at an even larger cost to the women who make it; 80% of garment workers are women of color. These 70+ million essential workers are highly-skilled, yet often invisible.
Forced to labor in unsafe factories— sanitation, food, access to fresh air,
natural light and potable water are largely inaccessible, making heat
exhaustion and dehydration prevalent. Worst of all, gender-based
violence is common inside these workplaces.

Remake's Theory of Change is that by paying living wages to garment workers, we reduce the human & environmental harm with which our clothes are made.

Higher wages would shift the industry’s focus away from producing cheap and disposable products, reducing carbon emissions.
